Cons
none (well, it's Mac only, but I don't see that as a con).
Summary
I've owned this software for years and use it all the time. I have more than 200 GB of samples which would be nearly impossible to use without AudioFinder. The fact that it's updated quickly (based on user bug reports or feature requests) and on a regular basis shows Iced Audio cares about its product and users, nice.
If you use audio on your Mac you need this!

Summary
This is the first software that I install on any new machine. Some may argue that there are too many features, but it is really goes as deep as you want to. The more you work with it the more you want those features and more. There really is no equivalent to this software out there on any platform. It's great.
If you work with audio loops or samples you need this

An audio utility for every and any kind of musician.
Ya' really can't afford to miss this gem.
It's simple looking yet it's slick and has a customizable GUI.
Packed with features that could cost you many times the amount!
Seriously I cannot tell it all, but I will try for a few.
AudioFinder 3.8.2 has what I like to call the, "down and dirty" meta editor.
It's a new favorite of mine. It really just gets you right you into a sample, to cut it, loop it, detect and edit hit points, slice em' up and get them outta' there quick.
The built in meta editor is no joke. It's "down and dirty" baby.
With a slew of other features like BPM detection, Midi input triggering, Apple's Audio Unit plugin processing. System plugin management for VST, AU, and MAS. Selectable note tuner utility. Multi format file conversions and export like SND, AAC, AIFF, Wav etc. File Import support includes REX1 and 2 support for the Recycle and Reason heads. Extensive file management and processing capabilities are only part of the AudioFinder experience. You could spend 15 minutes or hours creating well organized, great sounding sample libraries. Eventually thinking, " How did I do all of this stuff before AudioFinder?"
Quick mention that Iced Audio tirelessly and habitually updates this monster regularly with features faster than you can ask why didn't I buy this app a LOOONG time ago. Frequently implementing useful features that user's feedback to them.
Personally I thought it was a remarkable little gem from day one.
Now with 3.8.2, it's simply outstanding!
I can promise you for the price, NOTHING even comes close.
Kudos! Iced Audio by far you have created one of the best audio utilities I have ever owned and seen in a longtime.

...hobbyist!
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
When I first tried A.F. (2.x) I thought that $50 was too much for a shareware app - but I paid it because I use this program all the time! The updates keep moving this app in the right direction and each new version provides better stability, faster interface, and more useful features. My personal favorite (and most used) is creating my own soundbanks for use in my projects. I have roughly 250Gb of audio assets on my Mac, and A.F. keeps it all organized and quickly found for me. Thanks and keep up the good work!
