The Department also facilitates AUA review and approval of guidelines developed by outside organizations as needed. In addition, The AUA Guidelines Department provides staff support for the Practice Guidelines Committee, a physician committee that serves as a resource to the Guidelines Department and guideline panels. Because of their clinical expertise, members of the Committee may advise other AUA departments as well.
