Astral Masters is a pleasing version of turn-based strategy card games brought to the computer. The graphics are done with a 2D engine, and look a bit outdated by modern standards, but are nevertheless rich in detail and avoid simplicities such as rectangular menus or windows. The music is sparse, but the sounds are always appropriate. The rules of the game are easy to pick up, without having to resort to a complicated help file. That said, it is fundamentally a card game without the dynamism of a shoot 'em up, and is thus best targeted at confirmed card-game players. Other gamers aren't likely to pay the full game's $19.95 price, but may still have fun with this demo version.

Cons
I haven't tried online, but when you can actually see the computer screwing up, or cheating, there is some definite room for improvements, that just doesn't cut it.
