  We are in the process of switching from using Interop.Word objects to Aspose.Words, and the difference is astounding. With Interop.Word, seemingly simple tasks, such as a find and replace, would take line after line of painstaking code. More difficult tasks would involve hours of frustrating research. Aspose.Words is exactly what I was looking for when I was wondering, "Why isn't this process simpler?" Aspose.Words is intuitive, concise, and very well documented. Coding is much easier, and saves a great deal of time both in time spent doing research (much less) and debugging (way fewer lines of code). Overall, we are very happy with the switch to Aspose.Words.

  Summary

  I needed to generate hundreds of PDF reports based on templates in Word format. I chose Aspose.Words for .NET because it allow to modify DOCX and convert them into PDF documents with a single library (don't be fooled by his name, Aspose.Words can convert documents in many formats). My reports are generated in a matter of seconds without any other dependencies than Aspose. It's great, especially when you know that my software will run on a server. Obviously nobody want Microsoft Office on a server. Finally unlike many PDF converter, the final PDF is perfectly like the original document.

  ASPOSE.Words for .NET. As one of our windows client applications requirements to process word documents, I have tried few components to work with MS-Word document processing, I tried a component before Aspose.Words for .NET and almost ready to go with it? while in the trail period found some issues, notified the provider? their support team identified the bug and included as a enhancement to the next version, which they don?t even know when it will be available?. I downloaded Aspose.Words and installed, rewrote the codes to work with Aspose.Words library, I could fulfil all my application requirements related to word document processing. Aspose.Words for .NET is very fast in processing documents compared to other tools I have tried. The following Word document processing tasks are used in our application: 1. Find and Replace (whole document - Header/Footer/Section) 2. Create new document, programmatically insert tables with column/row merge and fill data from the database 3. Combine multiple documents in to a single document based in the user?s selection I the application 4. Image insertion in the existing document The help is very good, lots of codes already there for us to use straight a way. I would certainly recommend trying this tool before validating any other tools available in the market? by doing this you may save time

• Compact, fully functional and very easy to use

  Pros

  The best library we have found. Promises what we needed and does what is promises. Very compact, easy to include and even more easy to use. Lot's of documentation and example code and should you have questions, a fast support team that help wherever they can. Whenever we need an additional library, we always look at Aspose first now.

  Cons

  A bit pricy, but worth every penny.
