• Pretty Good, but needs some polish

  Pros

  A solid turn based 4x Space Strategy Game, from an small developer. Graphics are just OK, but good enough for this type of game. If you liked Galactic Civ then you'll also probalby like this. Pretty good AI

  Cons

  A few stability problems, but patches have been released. The tech tree wasn't large enough. There also wan't any unexpected random events.

  Summary

  A few initial stability problems and user interface problem (like not knowing what turn the game was going to end at), but patches have been released which address the more serious issues. I found the tech tree wasn't large enough. About half way through a (large) game there was nothing left to research. There also wasn't any unexpected random events. As a result of the above 2 points the end game turned into a bit of a grind near the end. AI was solid but maybe too passive and too eager to avoid a fight. So there was a certain lack of epic battles. Transports were too slow at the end of the game (and they are required to constantly balance out your population). There should have been a tech to speed up the transports. Overall it was a fun game desipte a few flaws. If you like turn based space strategy you'll get many hours of enjoyment out of this. A solid expansion pack (in the works I believe) might turn this into a great game.
