Based on the hiker's physical dimensions, pack weight and the selected section of the trail the Appalachian Trail Calorie Counter provides the user with the Basal Metabolic Rate and total calories expended on that section on the trail. Additionally, the counter provides elevation and distance profiles for the selected section.
