File transfer client with support for FTP/S, SFTP, WebDAV and Amazon S3 protocols.
AnyClient is a free platform-independent file transfer application that supports all major file transfer protocols including FTP/S, SFTP, WebDAV/S, and Amazon S3. AnyClient is available both as a web-based FTP client requiring no software installation and as a downloadable application that you can install locally.
I have a Mac PPC running 10.4.11, and can't find a lot of FTP clients that work with it. This one does. Download and setup are easy. If you know a little about FTP, the interface should be okay.
Cons
It's pretty slow. I can't figure out why. The remote site was faster when I accessed with a different computer, and our network isn't slow, so I think it's the client.
The interface is blah. If you are not sure how to use FTP clients (I'm borderline), the interface won't actually help.
It freezes. I have dozens of files to u/l, and the client uploads them simultaneously, slowly, and then won't let me change local directories by any obvious means. I finally figured out I could do it by starting to quick-connect to an ftp site, and then browsing the local file directory, but that's counterintuitive.
Summary
Slow, gets hung up, but free and compatible with 10.4 PPC.
