This robust newsgroup reader is excellent for accessing large media files. Featuring an attractive, tabbed interface, Android Newsgroup Downloader is simple to use. Its automated, wizard-like setup feature quickly moves a first-time user through its functions for easy downloading and reading.

This reader offers multithreaded downloading for quick access to posts, particularly those potentially large media files (e-books, video, audio).

Android features a separate To Do List pane that lets you choose and save headers for later downloading and reading. Built-in bandwidth counters let you review the amount of data transmitted or received, categorized by session or since installation.

Further, the Throughput-O-Meter provides a graphical display for performance during uploading or downloading. Android Newsgroup Downloader offers plenty of bells and whistles for the experienced user and all the simplicity a novice could desire. We recommended it for any and all.

What a horror!

Pros
None that I know of.
Cons
In addition to the newsgroup downloader, it also installs 4 or 5 other little 'features', some of which were fairly difficult to get rid of.
Summary
The program may work as advertised. I was so annoyed by all the extra stuff that I immediately uninstalled everything.
great downloader

Pros
I have been using SBNews and Quad for many years (made by these same people) and they keep improving and releasing new products for no additional cost. 'Android' is the latest program release and it is very refined and further improved over previous versions and other downloaders currently available. -I continue to keep tabs on what is out there.
The latest thing I love is that it stores info on each session so if you restart your computer you can still see what you have already downloaded. Up to 10 simultaneous threads. I very rarely get errors anymore downloading and recompiling large movies. -well over 300 of them in the last few months.

Wide range of filters and search options. Very intuitive multi-tab interface and easy, actually fun to use. Far too many features to list.

I probably sound like I work there ...just a fan!
Cons
I have requested a 'pick to top' of the list button to quickly access info files and indexes. Hope this comes in next upgrade.
