AnaBuilder is a freeware program for the creation of stereoscopic photographs (anaglyph, parallel, crossed, ... anaglyphs are viewed through Red/Cyan glasses). The program makes it possible to readjust the two views manually or fully automatically! Supports multiple languages.

anabuilderJava.zip contains the minimum to make it running, or to update a previous version. There is also an automatic installer for full installation available on the web site.

Important : someone reported that AnaBuilder's launcher is not working properly when placed in a directory with a name containing a space. Put AnaBuilder application in a folder name "/OnMyDisk/AlbertDupond/" rather than "/On My Disk/Albert Dupond/"

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />AnaBuilder now has an excellent GUI, although you will need to read some documentation to understand the buttons, even with the pop-up button descriptions. This is to be expected; In a word processor, we have all learned what they can do, and most programs work in a similar way. AnaBuilder is new and we don't have much experience with similar programs. One interface oddity: There is one window. If you close it, the program quits. I have tried to build anaglyphs in Photoshop, and they don't look great. All you have to do is put the red channel from one picture into the other picture, then align the points to be at the monitor depth, and crop. But alignment is no always easy, and colors can cause things to appear black in on eye, and white in the other. AnaBuilder has tools to desaturate reds and blues so they don't distract your eyes. It has many other useful tools as well. (To the authors: Thanks for your work. Versiontracker is used by some ungrateful people who love to criticize. Pay no attention.)

Downloaded it but despite best efforts it fails to work on my iMac with OSX 10.3.5 The web site was no help. English link to tutorial provided foreign language instructions. Think I will stick to Absird - it works.

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />With this update AnaBuilder is working fine for me on OS 10.2.6 With previous versions ther was a problem loading the second image of an image pair. I'm using this tool for merging (bracketed) images with big exposure differences, when preparing to make panorama's. To start the application go to the terminal and cd to the anabuilder folder. Then enter ./AnaBuilder.sh to start. Support is good and very fast!

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />Hmmh, this is absolutely the worst documented app I've ever seen. No Readme, no info.txt, nothing. That .jar file doesn't even start. I have some stereoscopic pics which would be nice to see in red/green but well... that's poor. Post this app when the OS X Alpha version is gone and it is a real app.
