AltTab is a free personalization application designed for macOS, offering a Windows-like task switching experience. This tool mimics the Alt-Tab functionality familiar to Windows users, allowing for seamless navigation between open applications. It enables users to set custom key combinations, choose from three distinct styles, and create groups by dragging and dropping items. Additionally, a blacklist feature allows users to exclude certain applications from appearing in the task switcher, enhancing privacy and control.
Incorporating accessibility features, AltTab supports VoiceOver and sticky keys, as well as options to adjust window transparency. Users must grant screen recording permissions for window previews to function effectively, which may raise privacy concerns for some. Overall, AltTab enhances productivity on macOS by providing a customizable and intuitive interface for managing multiple windows.
