  i installed this program intending to use it to convert .mov files to .mpg. when this operation failed 100% of the time, i tried to randomly convert whatever video files i had handy from any format to any other format.

  i believe the user interface is meant to be fairly intuitive and user friendly. since none of the functions work i can't be entirely sure about this, but there are some wonderful icons on the buttons. if you enjoy uninstalling software, this is perfect for you. i've tried to use a lot of programs that ultimately didn't work as advertised. many of them really wasted a lot of my time. this program was different in that only a few minutes transpired between the time i clicked "download" until the time i realized that the program doesn't work. if it had been a lengthy, involved installation process followed by a slow file conversion attempt, i would have been very aggravated. seeing this fail as quickly and thoroughly as it did without taking up a bunch of my time was a pleasant surprise. as an added bonus, removal of the program was quick and satisfying.<br /><br /><span class='notifyMsg'> Updated </span>on Feb 27, 2009<p/>quick update... i guess the programmers have made some major improvements since my last experience. before, i was unable to convert any file type to any other file type. i tried this converter again and i have been able to turn normal .mov files into corrupted or otherwise unplayable .mpg files... now we're getting somewhere : )

  Pros

  it was the only program that i found that coverted the MOV files from my digital camcorder without loosing any quality. Makes DVD files that work in any home dvd player. This program converts video much noticably clearer than AVS video converter (dont buy AVS converter).

  MOV files are the only type of input file that it excepts. <p>not many movie editing options (only cropping)

  I downloaded this program because I was making a movie in Windows Movie Maker, and it didn't recognize my QuickTime video clips because they were MOV files. I downloaded the trial version and it allowed me to convert 50% of the file to make sure it did what I wanted it to do. It did, Windows Movie Maker recognized the file once I converted it to an MPEG. I purchased the program for $25, and they gave me a registration code and password type thing. I opened the program again, input the info, and I was in business. <p> <p>It's simple to use, just add the files to the workspace, select what you want them to be and hit convert. Painless. <p> <p>I haven't tried anything else, but I don't think I need to either!

  I needed a simple program to convert between video formats. This program does exactly that. I can convert between the MOV output of my digital camera and easily make stand-alone videos, or to convert to other formats for editing. Very simple to use.

  This program is a file-conversion utility. If you're looking for something to edit your videos ... look somewhere else.

  It worked fine for me. It has no watermark on the final video. It's very easy and simple to use. It's not complicated. I have converted over 300 MOV files with this software and all has gone well.

  I needed a product to convert the .MOV files from my digital camera to other formats for e-mailing to my friends. This software does exactly that. It is very easy to use ... I was able to convert files within a minute or two of installing the software. It allows batch conversion of several files at once too. Keep in mind, this is not a video editing program, it only handles the conversion from .MOV to other formats such as .AVI or .WMV, but it does it smoothly and quickly. The registration fee is very reasonable. And, as we have come to expect with files from Download.com, there was no bagage (spyware or adware). If all you need to do is convert your files quickly, this is the product to use.
