• Impossible to remove from pc

  Pros

  Product does what the state it does and well.

  Cons

  If you no longer want the product good luck removing it. I had to call them and they walked me through it which took forever. I got off the phone and finished doing as they instructed and allowed 24 hrs to pass for the uninstall to proceed. After that any numerous reboots parts of the program are still on my pc and while it no longer protects the files it still pops up constantly telling me it could not successfully be uninstalled. I just gave up and keep the pop up box minimized and try to ignore it. Do not get product unless you want it forever.

  Pros

  Easy to install and doesn't slow the PC down - this is a commercially recognized product so i guess everything is there to support you. Also like their helpdesk as it takes it one step further when you forgot your password - happens all the time

  Cons

  You need to download a separate install set for Mac, but I guess that should be expected. Haven't found any cons otherwise. The price sounds high, but one call to the helpdesk and you saved that money 100-fold.

  Summary

  Commercially recognized product that works for me. I am doing consultancy work and many of my clients now require me to encrypt my machine(s). The major difference is that you can not get this software for small installations in any other way, so the SaaS Alertsec offers is a great alternative route to get access to this software - unless you want to buy servers and consultancy time and so on. Once it is installed it just ticks in the background and I only see it's there when booting.
