This application's excellent graphics help turn a relatively standard shooting game into an impressive, action-packed option. In AirStrike II, you must use your fully armed helicopter to destroy your foes and successfully complete a number of missions. Though blowing other aircraft to smithereens is your primary goal, you also must keep a sharp eye out for various bonuses that can repair your helicopter or give you more powerful weapons. In our opinion, this game's 3D graphics--especially the explosions--are top-notch, and the sound effects and theme music are right on the money. Learning to control your aircraft, while using your weapons, takes a while to perfect, but you can change the keyboard layout if you have a better idea. You also can choose from several missions, disable the audio, select the difficulty level, and change the camera angle. Our only gripe was we thought the one-hour trial period was a bit parsimonious. Nevertheless, all fans of shooting games should at least take AirStrike II for a test flight.

Version 2.5 includes Microsoft Vista compatibility, DirectX render has been added, some minor bugs has been fixed, and memory optimization.

I played the demo to this game before buying and it's not bad for the price which is about $20.00 for a download. If you want to spend $9.00 more they'll send you the cd that has the game on it also. Like I states before I have a 3D gforce agp card with 32mb of ram, so I have no problems running this program(I use win98 with 160ram).I have a P2 450 so it's not a resource hog, but you may want to have the lastest version of Direct X. I don't know what that is but you can problably hunt around on cnet and find it. All in all for about $30.00 I got a great looking game that I've grown more than a little addicted to. Not very hard to figure out, just play the demo first.

AirStrike II is a rough, cruel, and intense helicopter 3D action game that makes you fly and fight over desert, water and industrial areas. 100+ land, air and water enemy units will make your life worse then hell. There are five different landscape types and the terramorphing feature. If you pass all seventeen levels (plus 3 bonus levels) and kill all enemy bosses, please tell us how you did it.
