Athens and Sparta were the two superpowers of ancient Greece--one democratic, the other totalitarian. They fought a war between 431-404 B.C. that Sparta won. Now you have a chance to rewrite history. As Athens, you control the most powerful navy in Greece. Your destiny lies overseas. But Sparta and its undefeated army are knocking on your door. They fear your Imperial aspirations. And they are not alone. In fact you have no allies on mainland Greece. At least not at the start of the scenario. Fortunately, your city is protected by its "longwalls". Can you hold off the Spartans long enough to build your empire and find a way to crush your arch enemy?

The development of the map is beautiful. Lots of places to expand your base and bountiful resources.
Cons
Why would the Gods decide to surrender? This happened very shortly into the game but didn't seem to alter how the level went. Aside from destroying your enemies there are also little side quests, rather like a story path. The only problem with this is that the buildings and locations are not really labled well so you go around the whole map looking for something. I never completed the map, I was hung up on one quest and couldn't find where I needed to go, despite the fact 100% of the map was explored. <p> <p>The biggest fall in this level was probably my own fault. I was expecting something hard and heavy, half of my time on the level I was watching TV, it's a powderpuff. <p> <p>Finally, when you start the map you have a very small base to begin with, with limited space to build. Each time I tried to delete my armory to make room for a barracks the game shut down. Maybe that's just my copy or my computer, but it was annoying.. considering I don't save my game too often if at all.
