After Light Fades is a puzzle game about loss. You guide Alice through grief using sokoban-style mechanics and discarded powers. It's surprisingly moving for a game about pushing boxes.

  • Pros

    • Unique artifact mechanics add layers to otherwise simple puzzles | The visual design beautifully underscores Alice's emotional journey | Minimalist score enhances the mood | The act of relinquishing powers feels cathartic

  • Cons

    • No hint system; prepare to get stuck | No multiplayer | The narrative is subtle; some may find it too abstract
