  Does a good job of FINDing text strings in multiple files, BUT...

  Cons

  The REPLACE operation does not locate all instances that FIND detects. This is a bug that has been reported by myself and other customers. The company is ignoring our pleas to fix this bug. This is documented in their forum at abacre.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=478&p=1749

• Excellent App, Great for Bulk Editing Needs

  I downloaded and tried numerous applications before finding this gem. I do a lot of work with html documents that often need to have the same bits or chunks of code frequently changed. This software is great for processing changes in hundreds of files at once using one easy-to-setup configuration and a few clicks. <p> <p> <p>The ability to save configurations and quickly retrieve them for execution later has been a huge time saver for me. As an added bonus, the software's resource footprint is surprisingly small considering its ability to process a large number of files within seconds. <p> <p> <p>I highly encourage anyone looking for detailed, flexible, and efficient find & replace functions to download this program. I was so impressed after the trial period that I happily chipped in to purchase the full product (which isn't something I am often persuaded to do). I can't imagine doing my daily work without it now!

  great tool. i was looking for a tool to replace a specific string between two strings. it managed to replace the 1663 strings in a second. highly recommended.

  As a translator, I usually juggle 5-15 versions of the same document, and Advanced Find and Replace has been a boon and serious time saver Contrary to CNet's gripes, the interface is simple and straightforward -- how complex does a Find/Replace app need to be? Pricey for a one-hit wonder, but it does the job extremely well and accurately.

  I have owned this product for over a year and have found it to be really good at searching and replacing strings of text in single or multiple files of just about any format. In fact I have found it to be indispensable and I have yet to find anything in the 0 to $100 price range that comes close. It even has support for regular expressions if your search and replace needs are truely sophisticated. About the only criticism I have is that I rarely see any upgrades posted on its web site, even the best software can be better. Perhaps it sells too well and they don't need to bother?
