Creates interactive content VERY fast

Pros
To begin with: this tool is amazing. First I thought: oh noooo, not another Flash Creator tool. But this one is really different. I created interactive web content within 10 minutes and I never read any instruction manual. Plus, the tool has some really great ideas what brings your website to life. And I am not talking about stupid, disturbing animations here (well, you can do them, too, if you really want), but about real interactivity. This is perfect for the product presentations on my site.
Cons
So, what's the downside? Although the tool exports HTML and Flash it does not offer any fancy templates. So you still need an HTML editor if you want to integrate the interactive components in your own design. An upload wizard would also help. What I do now is: I am creating all the interactive content with ActiveSlide Thunder. Then I integrate the Flash movies to my web pages manually and upload the whole project.

Pros
Zur Anwendung dieser Software benoetigt man keinerlei Programmierkenntnisse. Auch unerfahrene Anwender duerften sich schnell zurechtfinden, denn alle Animationen lassen sich mit einfach gestalteten Assistenten einbauen. Alles ist Menue gefuehrt und gut beschrieben. Meine ersten Animationen hatte ich nach wenigen Minuten fertig. Ich bin begeistert.
Cons
Hilfreich we?ren Funktionen um die Slides einfach in Powerpoint einzusetzen. Hier ist eine Menge "Handarbeit" notwendig.

Pros
I'm a school teacher, working with an IWB in my class. Before going to Download.com I thought learning ActionScript would be necessary to create interactive apps. A few downloads later I was glad to find ActiveSlide. It's now possible for me to create my own interactive graphics that I can use with my class! I could easily integrate the swf files into my SMART notebook software. Furthermore, the built-in wizards give you ideas how to use interactivity for visualisation purposes. I've recommended ActiveSlide to my colleagues, and quite a few use it now.
Cons
It makes sense to have an image processing software (like Photoshop) to prepare your images before working with it in ActiveSlide (size, shape, image format...).

Pros
I've never seen an authoring tool before that gives you both: Wizards guiding you through each and every step (if you want to), and total flexibility regarding design and layout at the same time. So, it's is NOT a template collection, but an easy-to-use authoring tool with an amazing support by the software itself. If you know PowerPoint, you are ready to start with ActiveSlide right away. Interactive Flash for the rest of us!
Cons
The Pro Edition is a bit expensive, but you should have a loot at ActiveSlide Thunder first to see if it meets your requirements already. I'm sure, for most people it does.

Pros
I use this tool to give my PowerPoint presentations the extra stuff the audience loves. It's just great being able to drag&drop text and images on a ppt slide! The wizards are very useful, as they guide you through the complete process, from inserting images to the first preview.
Cons
Embedding Flash in ppt is a bit tricky in general (movie doesn't wind back automatically, no key navigation when mouse is over the Flash component). But there are other tools to get around this easily.
