This feature-packed world time clock provides detailed information about more than 500 cities around the world. ActiveEarth has a visually appealing interface that prominently features a map of the world showing where it's day and night. Customizable analog clocks with digital readings from several cities line the bottom of the interface. Right-click any clock to view additional information about that city, including sunrise, sunset, latitude, longitude, lunar data, and a solar chart. It's simple to select a new city; just right-click, select from your options, or add your own. You can view the time difference and distance between two cities, perfect for frequent travelers. The synchronization tool allows you to correct your system clock by using one of several atomic timeservers, and it uses clocks to display the number of days left until the beginning of each season. We miss, however, the ability to set alarms. Frequent travelers and those with interests across the globe will find this application very attractive.

ActiveEarth World Time Clock is the nicest time-comparison tool I've come across to date. I like that I can add custom clocks from anywhere in the world, even places not pre-defined in the included list, and can compare not only time, but other useful information between two locations at a glance. The custom-countdown clock feature was also handy to help keep track of upcoming events. The maps are nice to look at and make for a very functional backdrop while looking up time data. The Desktop-Clock add-on is a nice feature too, which provides a lightweight version of the application displayed in an unobtrusive clock you can park anywhere on your desktop. All in all, a great tool if you need to regularly keep track of times in various locations around the world.
