This program adds a taskbar to the bottom of your screen for easy launching and switching between open applications. Though redundant for Mac OS X users, others will find it offers quick navigation. You can also launch other applications from your choice of either the customizable Start menu or the QuickLaunch area, where you can display your favorite app icons for easy access.

Each of the active application buttons also offers a list of options such as viewing where the original application is, getting info, hiding applications, and more. There are some drawbacks, however. In some games and applications, the area of the taskbar will show up in white, decreasing the size of the screen. Mac diehards may shy away from these Windows-style taskbars, even if it is convenient. Overall, Action GoMac is a very handy utility for those who work with several apps at once, and it provides a great way to launch your favorite apps quickly, using a nice-looking interface.

I got a mac just so I could get the heck away from windows. then trolling this site, I saw that some lunatic brought over the mac version of what microsoft ripped off from apple. NOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Dock is one thing, since it's easy to use, manage, and looks sexy (just like my new g5 does), but windows taskbar and gomac reminds me of work...it's about as sexy as what comes out of my dog's bum.

I'm not a fan of Windows, but I've always liked the task bar and found it much easier to use than Apple's drop-down application menu. I've been using this product for about a year now, and it's been great! Very stable, very easy to customize -- you can even choose not to have a Start menu, so your computer doesn't look TOO much like Windows -- and a good solution if you're not going to move to OS X anytime soon.

I used this for it's trial period, and it is great! Unfortunately, I'm getting OS X. I've already used the dock for some time now, so, no! The dock won't make this redundent. I hope they make an OS X version of this, and I will buy it!

It's better than the Windows task bar. I had it for a while and found that I couldn't get rid of it; it's just to usefull. My only complaint is that is affects some programs because it makes the screen a bit smaller.
