Absolute HTML Compressor can optimize HTML files, reducing file size for fast-loading pages. It offers several options for optimization, a choice between using a GUI or command-line interface, compress single files or entire folders, and more. The program can optimize files individually or in batches, and can create backup copies of optimized files. In this version several minor bugs have been fixed.
This tool does what it promises. It compresses files by reorganizing your code without any danger of ruining or changing the look your html. It has backup capabilities so you store original files unchanged in a seperate folder and it a very small program that uses next to no resources. Kudos!
Cons
No real faults. Its not great looking, but the interface is easy to use and easy to learn - in a few minutes or less.
Summary
Neat, does what it says.

Summary
A nice little utility program to pack your HTML files, whole directories at a time. Not so essential for the web anymore, but it helps to reduce the size of compiled .chm HTML help files. Turn off the option that replaces longer tokens like STRONG with shorter ones B if you have applied a CSS style to STRONG otherwise you lose that style. But the program keeps multiple backups of your original HTML files for safety. Keep your original files for editing, pack a copy of them for publishing.
Beats out the others, free, and I'm not associated with the maker

I rarely write feedback like this, but here's a tip for anyone who's trying out (our would) the other programs of this type. The only other comprable program is HTML-Optimizer Pro 3.03 (the latest I've tried). I've tried the previous versions too. It does a few things this program doesn't, like fill in height and width for images, gives you useless alt values if you don't have them. If your a real programmer you won't need them (not that I am). I find it has some bugs and is unnecessarily complicated (I'm not saying it's complicated now). This tool & it's options are basic and does exactly what is needed. Thanks for whoever made it (it's free).

i build all my own sites and a few for some of my clients. i employed this program out of curiousity. it worked well. a nice feature is that it creates a backup file in case you shave off something you originally wanted to keep.
