A-OK The Wings of Mercury is a realistic simulation of the Mercury spacecraft. It features 3D graphics, fully functional control panels, networked simulations, and a complete manual. Real-time trajectory modeling accurately simulates the dynamics of the space flight. 3D graphics simulate the cockpit, window and external views. Over 160 fully-operational switches, gauges and indicators that must be operated using the actual checklists and flight plans used by the Mercury astronauts. Edit system failures, astronaut psychological data, spacecraft and booster parameters. Produce a detailed HTML-formatted report on your mission. All major events, system performance, astronaut tasks and trajectory data are covered. Communicate with ground stations via large vocabulary communications Auto CapCom. All data parameters can be recorded for later analysis. Create simple charts from recorded data without external tools.

didnt run right on old pc

Pros
its a good idea to have some space launch type sims out there.
Cons
i couldnt get it to run well on my old celeron powered pc, maybe it would have done better on my newer machine which has a core 2 duo but im not going to waste my time with it

Pros
This simulation brings one back to the heyday of the mercury space program.It has a lot of control features and is pretty accurate because one can select different failures as an option.A novel flight simulation program worth the money.Originally it was for Macs though.
Cons
There is a freeware spacecraft flight sim <p>called orbiter with the mercury(as well as the gemini and apollo) spacecraft as a free add on that has better graphics but has different features than this program.But BOTH programs are very worthwhile

Excellent graphics and quality design, The publisher has an excellent idea and needs to market it a little better. We hope the publicher won't get scared off because this program could be a hit!

Here is the major issue: Adds their home page to your favorites without your knowledge. (Or atleast attmepted on my pc). Has no uninstaller, has files winxp sp2 does not recognize. <p> <p>Not very user friendly, the help files direct you to their web site instead of having them in the game. No exit buttons for some of the windows have come up a few times. <p> <p>Not enough in the demo to want me to "buy it now!" <p> <p>Publisher seems to be decent although they need to address some major issues and get rid of the bookmarks/homepage settings. I did not let it install homepage/bookmarks. <p> <p>Adware Spyware SE homepage monitor blocked it.
