Great VISUAL Application Builder - NO CODING REQUIRED.
notchent- Pros
- A great way to introduce newbies to programming. Arrange elements/objects visually in a graphic flowchart - no written code required. Contains all essential building blocks: GUI, strings, math, ODBC, sockets, MCI, graphics, print. Creates 50k+ exes.
- Cons
- It's a bit old (but stil complete enough to actually create useful applications).
- Summary
- This is a great way to introduce children or non-programmer types to programming. Just arrange any of the built-in elements/objects visually into a graphic flow chart - no written code is required. A-flow contains all the essential building blocks you need to create actually useful apps: GUI widgets (including useful widgets such as menus, table displays, standard requesters, etc.), string and math operations, variables, loops, conditional operations, ODBC connectivity, network socket connectivity, graphic/drawing functions, printer output, MCI media contols, automation (ActiveX) controls, etc. Compile your programs to exe + dll. Minimum applications zip up around 50k. All the dlls (found in the ./published/ folder), zip up to 78k, so the executables are very small and easy to distribute. The entire environment can be learned in a day, and the learning process actually teaches real programming concepts, without requiring newbies to ever have to remember or type in any code. The installer is less than 2 Megs, takes just a few seconds to get up and running, and there is complete online documentation with a quick start tutorial. Very simple to learn and practical.
Good for small projects

- Summary
- would use for small prjs but keep coding huge ones, not bad for the money. needs more open ended delv groups so we can build add ons to it,
