Turn your PC into a video surveillance system that allows you to monitor your home/office from a remote location. WebCam Monitor lets you simultaneously monitor multiple webcams. With support for both motion detection and sound detection, the software lets you keep an eye on your property from a remote location.

Whenever WebCam Monitor detects an intrusion or other unusual activity, the program can perform any number of activities to protect your property. WebCam Monitor can be configured to manually or automatically capture photo images, or record video and audio. When an alarm condition is detected, the program can flash your computer screen, sound an audible alarm, or send you an email. The application can be easily programmed to begin and complete recording on a predefined schedule. It's easy to upload your files to any FTP location periodically, or after an alarm condition is detected.

Pros
Connects up to 4 USB cameras simultaneously, records audio and video (mp4 format), good scheduling, excellent choice of alert options.

Summary
I had to move my USB plugs around a little to get all 4 cameras working. Windows doesn't like it when you use identical camera models on the same USB bus, so I had to plug three into the rear ports of the PC and one into the front port. I use it for overnight monitoring in my small office with inexpensive cameras. Works well.

Pros
Noise activation! Movement activation! Time lapse JPGs and/or video.
Cons
Limited to only 60 - 7 second time lapse JPGs. No mulit-camera operation. Could not find a multi-camera software with noise activation.
Summary
I use an audio alarm and I need to have the noise activation that this product has. Would like to see this expanded to allow other discrete inputs to activate email notifications / event recording.
Worst nag screen implementation I've ever seen!

None. This was terrible from the start.

It was impossible to evaluate. Open the program ->Nag. Start capture->nag, open my laptop->nag, press any button-> nag. close the program->Nag. Nag, nag, nag, nag, nag, nag, nag, nag, nag.
Summary
I don't mind it being evaluation, but it is limited to 2 hours of recording an other limits related to FTP and such, isn't that enough? Or perhaps just a nag screen upon opening. But does it have to nag for every operation? This is a ridiculous implementation and shows it is written by those with little regard or trust for users.

Excellent set of features and easy to use

I used this software to try and see who was using my swimming pool while I was at work. I set it up with an inexpensive USB camera pointed at my pool from inside my house. It took a week, but I caught two neighborhood kids, problem solved.
Cons
None, worked really great.
Summary
Works much better than the built in software, the time stamping is excellent, the recordings are clear and it works with USB and IP cameras.

Pros
this can record for a set amount of time, record after motion for a set amount of time (multiple times before you come back), and it can just record non-stop. this can record visual AND audio
Cons
this version is limmited to 2 houres of use (you must pay for any more)

Pros
- The Email Alerts work fine, - More then enough ways to view your video, pictures, live broadcast, very impressed. - Works as advertised.
Cons
- Can only use 1 camera at once. Was hoping to be able to use 2 cameras. - Setting up Email Alerts tricky with outgoing email server. (Disable login / password) - Program is a little pricey. Would of liked to pay around 50 dollars instead of $70

- Setting up Email Alerts was a little tricky with the outgoing email server. (Disable login / password) dont need it for just the outgoing server. If you use login/password you may get a 503 error and it wont send emails expecially on an open mail server.
