Rather than installing a bunch of conversion software that is complicated and space consuming, Universal Document Converter provides a tightly integrated and easy to use conversion option.

Pros

Professional file formats: Universal Document Converter can create image files out of a wide range of file types. However, it goes beyond standards like Word and Excel files, to include certain professional file types that are more difficult to work with. For instance, it can convert AutoCAD files into PDF or JPEG format. This is a very useful feature if you need to see AutoCAD files or share them, but don't need them to be editable.

Comprehensive tutorials: Universal Document Converter includes a great step-by-step guide to using the program. It also includes a number of additional tutorials to walk you through the more advanced functions.

Documents combination: If you have several documents you want to combine into a single PDF or image file, you can do that with Universal Document Converter. This is great for creating large project files.

Cons

Limited number of formats: Universal Document Converter can only export files to eight formats: PDF, JPEG, TIFF, PNG, GIF, PCX, DCX, and BMP. If you need additional supported formats, you're going to need another conversion program.

Bottom Line

If you want end files that are in one of the supported formats, this is a great app. The ability to work with AutoCAD documents and to combine multiple files into a single file are both very useful in professional settings.

And if it stops working, DO NOT count on ANY support, outside of the information made available in their sophomoric tutorials. Unable to get ANYONE at the fCoder group to respond to my pleas for help with their product that suddenly stopped working after a successful initial install. VERY DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE!!!

Whether designing and submitting images for a new book cover or submitting a manuscript, their software allows me to successfully convert any file into the required format. It also allows me to protect my work. Maintaining its integrity of authenticity is vital when getting your material published. It is quite common when working on a book project or magazine article write-up that files transfer hands numerous times. During those instances, many things may and often do occur including third party alterations and even copying of your work. There is nothing worse than discovering that the once original write-up you crafted is now floating around out there on someone else's website. Now I can relax in knowing that all of my documents are copy-protected before sending them out to anyone. In addition to being protected, all of the other technical difficulties relating to transferring files are now eliminated. That's what Universal Document Converter does for me. Demo version has huge wstermark on converted docs so you can't actually use them in any professional capacity once converted. That being said, the product description does specify this, but I didn't assume it would be so large.
Summary
Wouldn't bother downloading if you're not willing to pay for full version. Doesn't seem overpriced for its capabilities though.
Easiest way to convert documents is printing!
