• Very useful program.

  Pros

  *Converts text to audio *free and functional *creates audio files

  Cons

  *Converts punctuation into voice when this is not wanted *Reads page numbers and other unwanted page text in scanned books *lists and formatted tables may not be read in an understandable manner * homographs are words that are written the same, but pronounced differently, and these may not be pronounced correctly. *voices need more expressiveness and emotion.

• I'm not happy with the voices

  Pros

  The only two things I like about this product is that it's easy to install, and it's free. But other than that it requires much more working on.

  Cons

  But what's the use if it doesn't work properly? 1 The voice doesn't follow punctuation(line break, or period for example) 2 The Russian, and the Italian voices (the ones I'm interested in) have French accent. 3 The voices have no intonation.

  Pros

  VERY easy to understand with the buttons and drop down menu that you select from You can adjust settings to your preferences It does what it claims to do speaks in different languages

  Cons

  male voices were much better than the female (I have Vista as that seemed to matter from the earlier feedback of a review), but none seemed as good as the one from Micosoft that Text 2 Speech uses doesn't paste just text, also HTML all caps issue

  Summary

  When you paste into the program, it also pastes HTML unless you strip the HTML off by pasting in notepad or something first. Plus, a word in all caps is read letter for letter rather than as a word in all caps. &lt;b&gt;All in all a wonderful product!&lt;/b&gt; The program itself is easier to use than Text 2 Speech, but the ONLY voice that's included with Text 2 Speeech is better than all the voices this one has.<br /><br /><span class='notifyMsg'> Updated </span>on Jan 17, 2009<p/>I wish I could combine the two products into one, and then we'd have the best speaking text program out there!<br /><br /><span class='notifyMsg'> Updated </span>on Jan 17, 2009<p/>Oooooooooooooh, I just want to kick myself! • A lot of voice selections

  Pros

  The English language selection has at least 20 voices to select from. Paste the text in the screen and save for your MP3 player. With so many voices to select from you can easily find one that is understandable. Very Good Tool!

  Cons

  I wish the other languages had more voice selections. They are too robotic and it is hard to understand. If they spent as much time and effort on the other languages I'm sure they can greatly improve their product.
