• Best file and folder synchronizer I could find

  Pros

  I wanted to find an effective and efficient file and folder synchronize, backup and duplicate program. I tested GoodSync, SugerSync, ViceVersa, Super Flexible File Synchronizer, Beyond Sync and SyncBack. Some programs contained extensive unnecessary and confusing options and settings. Others had problems copying files and continually locked up with errors (I found that one program had problems with read-only files). After days of testing and evaluating the otions, performance and safety of these programs - I found that SynchronizeIt performed the best and had the most friendly user interface, understandable options and file processing display. SynchronizeIt had no problems with backing up any files and folders and provided the best information during the backup process. File and folder synchronizing programs dont do me any good if they continue to fail in copying files and continue to lock up with processing errors.

  Pros

  Better, more precise and more controllable than any backup type program I've ever used. Works with mapped drives over a network. v3.5 is much improved over v2.82.

  Cons

  You can move a lot of data and directories, so make sure you know what you're deleting before you let fly!

  Summary

  I work for an attorney and I keep her computer sync'd ("duplicated") with my computer and various directory trees sync'd with Dropbox so we can communicate large documents and disclosures with both our colleagues and (ugh!) the defense. This would be monumental without it.

  Pros

  I use two computers side by side and need to synchronize files between them daily. I just downloaded Synchronize It for a trial 15 minutes ago, and already I've installed it and synchronized all my files. Easy to use. Fast. I'm going to buy it.

  Cons

  None seem apparent at first glimpse. I'm sure I could nit pick and find something, but why?

  Summary

  This will be one of my "use daily" utilities.

  do what I need, no cons (old versions were a bit slow when copying big files, i just buy the 3.x so I need to test to see if this has been improved)

  Summary

  I must confess I used a "copy" of this program for a while sort of "try before buy". As the software is working the way I want and as other solution I tried did not meet my needs, and as the price of this software is really low, I decided to buy a legal license to support the author. So remember : piracy is the best add service for a _good_ software, bad software are never bought, good one are bought one day... Without P2P I never know this program was existing. be cool with P2P to make money!

• Excellent Product - strong user control of synching

  Pros

  It give you the right packaging of features that others miss: - shows only files that should be synched - lets you delete within the tool - shows important attributes - command line to make pre-built directory strings And at a great price!

  Cons

  It would be nice to save searches to a file to aid in rerunning common sync. it save the syncs in a nice dropdown list for selection, but separate files would be nice. I can replicate this function easily with .BAT files.

  Summary

  After reviewing over a dozen synching programs to run under my Win7 x64 system, this one clearly wins!

  Pros

  Best sync product ever. Used it for years as an automated backup solution and never failed. And what a small price for what you get!

  Cons

  Missing the ability to store archiving information (filename, path, hash info, etc..) into a database to retrieve files on removable media at a later time. (but for 19$... let's be honest, it's really not a big problem!)

  I was looking for an app that would detect different sizefiles with same date. Very few competitors do this, and it had the best price among them. And it feels a well designed application, in my experience. Other pros: File comparison by date, size, content and combination of these Efficient and intuitive interface Command line support, external comparison tool allowed

  Pros

  Synchronization is very intuitive. Easier to use than, WS FTP synchronization. Works great with their companion product, "Compare It". "Compare It" and "Synchronize It" is a match made in heaven.
