Although it handles its sole job without a problem, a stingy trial limitation keeps this run-of-the-mill audio converter from being truly useful. The interface is rather bland, yet it sports large, well-placed icons for converting files among WAV, WMA, MP3, OGG, and VQF formats. However, the main window also wastes space by including several needless buttons that prompt you to register the program. The feature set doesn't really go beyond the norm but does let you specify bit and sample rates. The bare-bones audio player is functional but doesn't really offer enough extra capabilities to count as a major bonus. Although Super Audio Converter can transform files in batch mode, the demo will convert only 60 percent of any given file, which is barely enough for us to evaluate its speed and audio quality. Therefore, we'd suggest most users look for a less-restrictive audio-conversion utility before spending any time with this one.
