The single purpose of this freeware is to allow you to view recipes imported from Shop'NCook.com. Shop'NCook Reader has a plain but functional interface with a split window displaying dishes on the left and the selected recipe on the right. There aren't any cookbooks preloaded, but the Shop'NCook site offers eight free options, including Chocoholics, Greek Food, and Chicken 310. You have to manually extract each selection from a ZIP file and place it in the software's Cookbook folder. Once added, they'll show up in the Shop'NCook Reader's Cookbooks menu. Recipes were easy to follow and come from a variety of sources, including magazines and other cookbooks. You can print recipes or export into a text file, but the cookbooks can't be modified and you can't add your own recipes. The search tool only looks at recipe titles, which limits its usefulness. Shop'NCook Reader provides access to a variety of recipes, and serves as a nice addition to anyone's cooking library.
