Exceptional software for dish/antenna pointing
idz33- Pros
- It has a very simple, clear and practical interface and it gives one of the most practical and important information to easily find a satellite while pointing an antenna/dish: you choose the satellite, put in your longitude and latitude plus antenna dimensions (width and height) and it will calculate the distance from the top edge of the antenna to a straight line touching the bottom edge, which you can get with a simple line and plumb. Then presto: you can the correct elevation position. It also gives practical graphical information about the LNB skew then you just need to move the antenna sideways to find the satellite signal. It also calculates the position of multi LNB setups.
- Cons
- It looks like it needs an update in satellite names and transponders and there seems to be some minor bugs in some features.
- Summary
- Exceptional software for easy and fast satellite dish/antenna pointing and alignment.
SatHunter 2.3.0.54 is a good product.

- Summary
Possibly a good program, but a trial version - not free
cfd15- Pros
- Has a good interface and lots of functionality.
- Cons
- Not freeware as advertised. It's a trial version with 10 uses until purchase. Price is about $30. This would have been helpful to know before installing (and now uninstalling) it.
- Summary
- Fine -- if you want a commercial program. It's free-to-try, not free.
