  Pros

  Installed just fine from zip file (I already have MS .net installed). Very simple tool, was able to copy and paste QIF file data to Excel.

  Cons

  Menus do not show commands for "copy" or "paste" or "select all", but they do exist if you use the control keys. So control-a to select all lines in QIF Viewer, then control-c to copy everything, switch to excel and use control-v to paste. So it works fine, but with no menu then if you don't know the control keys then it would appear as if there is no way to export the info.

  Summary

  Simple tool, perhaps too simple. But works fine for me.

  I installed this and am currently using it on Windows 7. I had no issues with the install. There is a step that asks you if you want to install an Ask toolbar and set your homepage to something else. If you leave those checked it will obviously make those changes.

  1. Failed install on first attempt. 2. Failed to open file after I was finally successful in getting it to install. 3. It changed the time settings on my computer (bumped it ahead three hours). 4. It set my homepage to msn... seriously?

  I haven't used this software so no comment on how good it is. I did see the developers note appended to the oldest review that .NET is required for it to work. Other reviews are either 5 stars it works great (they had .NET) or 1 star it won't work (they didn't) which means people aren't seeing this important info. My review then is only here to point this out. Do a search for .NET or look on Microsoft's site to find the free download. If you have Win 7 or a recent version of any MS product you probably already have it installed. Start by installing QIF Viewer, if it doesn't work, get or update your .NET install. Good luck!
