I have used this version for many years and have found it to meet my needs without the need to upgrade. It is an excellent piece of software.

Cons

I downloaded this for a relative and found that the software is a TRIAL version. A fact not revealed in the CNET description. Crafty and sly

Difficult to arrange sound and slide sequences
Expensive

Summary

A good program with many useful features but synching sound bits to individual slides is confusing and difficult. The price is much more than other similar programs with similar features.

Pros

If you enjoy making terrific slideshows of your photos and videos, this is by far the #1 product out there. Blows the others away, and the output looks really professional. They also provide excellent service and support. Highly recommended.

You can create an instant, professional looking show with the wizard.
As you get to know the tools, you soon discover how creative you can be.

Cons

Can't think of any.

Summary

I have been using this for about 4 years now and have upgraded to Producer which is essentially the same with lots of extra wizards and effects.

Easy to use slide show software with many features

Cons

Not able to use some MP3 files as soundtracks because they appear as DirectShow on the ProShow Gold drop-down file listings. Photodex tech staff claims this is a problem unique to me and has suggested re-installing the program. But a new installation on a different machine exhibits the same problem when using the "details" file listing. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Summary

Very good slide show software with the frustrating exception noted above.

Summary

I used this program 'out of the box' to create a memorial video for my wife of 43 years - Lynn. I am a computer professional but I certainly was in shock! I did it with no training and little tutorial viewing. Your program was all of the things that I've already stated. I made three 'takes' in three days - 135 photos and three songs. The third 'take' was lauded and such a professional product that our family and friends suggested that I should create these videos as a profession. That's high praise indeed!
