Particulars for Mac displays up-to-date information about your computer, network configuration, and other important statistics, so you can reference them whenever you need to. No matter what type of information you're looking for or why, you can find it quickly with this program in place.
3 Modes: There are three ways you can access this software once it's installed on your computer. For instance, you can set it to display all pertinent information right on your desktop where you can reference it at all times. You can also use it as a Today Extension, or you can call it up via command-line functions.
Quick copy: Having access to all of this information is great, but if you also need to save or share it, the app facilitates that as well. Just open the Particulars drop-down menu and select either Copy All System Information, or Copy and then select only the item you want. You can then paste whatever you choose into a new document or email.
Little explanation: If you don't already know what to do with this program and the information it contains, the app won't help you figure it out. So, while it's easy enough for a new user to run the program and see the data, there's nothing included in the app to help you decipher what it means.
Particulars for Mac is a great option if you frequently need access to system and network information. It works quickly, doesn't slow your machine down a bit, and it offers nice options for copying and exporting data.
Particulars does not replace your desktop background image and is responsive to changes in your screen or space layout. It does not require any scripts or need any complex setup. Particulars supports many disparate network configurations including IPv6, manual addressing, multiple addresses, captive portals, PPPoE, and VPNs. Particulars has a special 'lab mode' to ease deployment in computer labs and datacenters. See the help book for more information.
