• Simple and easy to use, excellent support

  As an Outlook add-in, it integrates nicely with Outlook, doesn't slow down Outlook at all. The interface is very straightforward and easy to understand. It transferred all my calendar items and appointments, including recurring items with no trouble and syncs in both directions. There's an event log to track what changes were made on each end. I asked a question for their tech support and got an immediate detailed answer, so they were very responsive. They offer a 7-day free trial (for one account) and the cost to buy it is very reasonable. All in all, a very nice software package that does exactly what it's supposed to do.

  Cons

  None that I've encountered yet.

  Summary

  I don't understand the negative reviews on this Web site. This software package has been out for a while and works well. Judging by the other software offerings by Scand, this is highly qualified software developer who stands behind their product. The 7-day trial provides an opportunity to fully check it out -- it works great for me!

• Still not ready for prime time!

  Pros

  When it works, my calendars sync.

  Cons

  When it doesn't which is now all of the time, I am forced to keep a phone calendar in addition to my Outlook calendar. I can't even get any feedback from help which they used to be pretty good about.

  Summary

  If there is another program out there that works I would like to know. This was not worth the price.

  Summary

  Like many users, I need Outlook to sync with Google Calendar on my Droid. At first everything worked as advertised. But, with the 2 most recent "upgrades" everything has stopped working. In fact, some Google Calendar appointments were deleted even though they were still on my Outlook Calendar. I'm using Outlook 2007.

  Pros

  The idea is great, and other sites have great reviews, but this has been awful for me. It's completely wrecked my Outlook calendar, and I can't undo it, and I can't get tech support on the problem - just automated emails asking me to send in the details of my problem yet again.

  Cons

  All of my recurring appointments in Outlook have been moved. Some are 12 hours earlier, some are 4 hours later, some moved to a different day, some moved by 1 hour... Cancelled meetings are suddenly showing up again, but at the wrong time... Totally random, and so unpredictable that I cannot recreate my calendar. I was simply trying to sync my Outlook to my phone, but this product completely destroyed my calendar and I can't get it back. I have contacted Tech Support but all I received back was an automated email asking me to past in the details of my problem again and send "the log files" (but it didn't tell me which log files, and I can't find what they might want). Still no response to my repeated continuing emails requesting assistance.

  DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT, IT IS TERRIBLE!!!

• Poor Performance, bloatware, and crippled trial

  Pros

  This looks like it could be a nice plugin but I really don't have enough experience with how it "should" work to be able to say anything nice about it.

  Cons

  1. When attempting to configure a contacts folder the plugin locks up Outlook for several minutes 2. When attempting to configure a gmail account the plugin locks up Outlook for several minutes 3. The calendar is unable to be synchronized (this is why I am trialing this product) 4. The trial is loaded with bloatware so the experience is severely tainted; there is no indication that the bloatware will not be included in the full version.

  Summary

  Any software company wishing to complete in today's market exposing a trial version needs to provide a full featured version with a time limit (30 days or so) to woo the would be customer rather than crippling the software to a point where it doesn't work thereby completely trashing the experience and losing the sale. Adding other bloatware to the trial distribution also taints the experience such that the general public is unlikely to spend their hard earned dollars (even $20) for the full version of that software. This trial was extremely painful starting with the installation through all the attempts at configuring the software. I could see where the configuration might be quicker on a fresh install of Outlook with no contacts and a small pst file but that isn't realistic; most users that will be installing this are power users and will have multiple pst files and/or very large complicated pst files. With Google disabling the interface for Google Calendar Sync there will be many users looking for another option; at least for now Outlook4Gmail isn't the answer.
