This application provides an easy-to-use tool for tidying your system registry, but a trial limitation makes it impossible to verify its effectiveness. OK Registry Cleaner's simple and neatly designed interface is easy to comprehend. As with similar apps, this program lets you select registry areas to scan. The program quickly discovers ActiveX, Start Menu, DLL, and Invalid shortcut errors.

The results page lists all found errors and marks them for deletion. However, the program provides little information to determine if deleting an error could cause system problems. To compensate, a backup and restore feature easily reverts your system to its original configuration.

The scan, backup and restore operations were speedy and effective in our evaluation. However, the demo disallows deleting found errors. Users can't test this important function and that limits testing most other features. While the look and feel of this application will appeal to the novice, the demo is too limited for a true evaluation.
