MorphVOX Mac Voice Changer for Mac lets you modify and disguise your voice through either a built-in microphone or headset. It integrates with online games and VoIP programs, or you can use it to create voice-over tracks for multimedia projects.
Good help: This program comes with an excellent Tutorial and complete Help documentation, as well. Even if you're familiar with this type of program, it's nice to have these resources to refer to if you're having trouble accessing one or another feature of the program. And for novice users, these Help options will be invaluable when they're learning the ropes.
Lots of options: There are few limits to the ways you can alter your voice through this app. In addition to the general profiles for Child, Dog Translator, I Robot, Man, and Woman, you also have options for adding After Effects like Chorus, Resample, and Echo. Available Vocal Track effects include Monotone, Breathy, Nasal, and Vibrato. You can also download additional vocal profile packages for free.
Unintelligible voices: Many of the vocal profiles are almost unintelligible to begin with. Fortunately there are many ways you can tweak them to get them just the way you like. But you'll have to put some work into it if you really want them to be useful for more than a good laugh.
Complicated interface: This app's interface has a lot going on, and that could make it overwhelming for less-experienced users. The thorough Help features make it possible to get your bearings, but it's not something you're likely to pick up immediately.
MorphVOX Mac Voice Changer works well and offers tons of options for changing the quality of your voice for multiple purposes. It's offered in a fully-functional free trial version for seven days, after which it costs $39.95 for a license.
