  Pros

  Incredible simple one click conversion. Never had any problems using this for very fast conversion from a wide range of formats to iPad. Converts fast and works in batches.

  Cons

  It leaves a bit of a mess of files behind after creating the finished mp4 - logs, aac and h264 files. It would be nice if it cleaned these up, but no big deal, easy enough to delete them.

  Pros

  cheap, easy to pay, creator writes back quickly

  doesnt really work, i tried 2 diff files, the movie stopped at 4%. a smaller file did work, but not properly, was jumpy

  Pros

  The default setting converted a 4GB MKV video to a 2GB AVI with the surround sound and subtitles.

  Cons

  I cannot customize the video settings for resolution. Using custom settings can cause strange things to happen such as no video, only sound in QuickTime and the same file played in VLC had only video and no sound.

  Summary

  The default setting works well for converting MKV to AVI. I need to experiment more for MKV to MP4.

• Wonderful Program

  Pros

  Does everything you can think of, great help system, great flexibilty...even works with 'hard' subtitles which most other programs cant handle...MKVtools 2.2.4 works great in conjunction with a program like 'HandBrake' or 'Submerge'...

  If anyone finds one let me know, i havent...

The only problem I had with it was that it didn't seem to add 5.1 audio tracks to the dvd and instead converted the sound to stereo(2 channel). Hopefully it will allow either passthrough and/or reconverting to 5.1 in this version. Aside from this the app is great.
