LionClock is an attractive, easy-to-use virtual time clock. Employees will find it simple and intuitive to use, while managers will enjoy its robust administrative features.

LionClock's interface is sleek and well designed, and the built-in Help file is thorough and well written. Virtually everything about the program can be mastered in minutes. It's easy to add and edit employee information, for instance, and it has some helpful extras, such as automatically calculating base pay, gross pay, and overtime for each employee. You can assign employees personal identification numbers, ensuring that they're clocking in and out securely and allowing them to view their own payroll reports for any pay period they select. The administrator functions allow managers to run a variety of reports, including payroll reports for individual or multiple employees. LionClock can also be synchronized with both QuickBooks and Office. We were most impressed with the 12 levels of security the program offers, which is sufficient to prevent employees from starting or closing LionClock or other programs without authorization. Overall, we found LionClock to be one of the better payroll programs we've seen; it's not fancy or complicated, but it delivers useful, intuitive features in a package that's easy to use.

LionClock is free to try, but the trial version limits users to three employees. The program installs a desktop icon without asking and leaves a folder behind upon removal. Nonetheless, we highly recommend this program to anyone looking for a better way to track employees' time.

Don't buy it you will need to pay for it all over again in a year and it quits printing once the year is up.

Pros
I used Punch Clock prior to this and liked it. This is the same program only upgraded. If I could get it to work I may have liked it.
Cons
Installed and it created an admin password that I never created. Clicked to receive it via email every day for a week.
Summary
Found rip off claims on line for this software. Do not buy. It is a shell of a company.

Pros
Software is lightweight and uncomplicated. Setup was easy. Upgraded to server version once we bought the software. Client station setup was a breeze. Exports data well.
Cons
Per earlier reviews, I am wondering when/if support will become an issue. That is the only reason I did not give this a 5.
Summary
If you are looking for a light weight time clock software solution without a lot of bells and whistles that also features Quickbooks integration and appropriate security features, at least download the trial and give it a try.

Decent product, non-existent support

Pros
It's a pretty decent overall product - I have the network client/server version (paid). It doesn't have as many bells and whistles as some other products, but if you don't need the extra features it's fine, and even preferable in many ways since it's simpler and cheaper. It had everything I needed (including being able to mark as OT both >8hrs/day and >40hrs/wk, which not all have).
Cons
I have sent at least 5 emails to their main email and their customer support email address over the last few months without a single response. I don't have a high priority issue, but I can't seem to get even an acknowledging response, nevermind any resolution. So I can't recommend this, since they have no support (and I've paid money for this, I'm not just on the trial). <p> <p>Note they've recently renamed their product LionClock.
