Join VOB Files Tool is a free, open-source software to join, multiplex, merge, combine VOB files from DVD structure to use joined files in next encoding, conversion, demultiplexing, audio, video streams extracting. Main features: 1. Adding VOB files to join from your hard drive to the list, multiple selection works also. 2. Removing selected file from the VOB files listing 3. Canceling joining process 4. Minimizing application to tray.
It changes browser settings (homepage, search setting) on multiple browsers. I HATE that.
Summary
This program changes browser setting. God knows what else it does. Use it at your own risk.
merges vobs into single vob
colin.shaw.7545
Pros
it is free. it does what it says.
Cons
This download also installed some ad-wear on my PC without my consent. No other reviews mention this extremely negative consequence. It could be that this is enforced by CNET.COM and has nothing to do with the tool itself. I had to delete the main ad-wear programme using "Add Remove Programmes" and then I had to re-set IE11 by going Tools>Internet Options>Advanced>Reset. This got rid of it.
Summary
An absolute disgrace.
easy to use - easy to hate
JesperBN
Pros
Very straight forward
You can rename .vob to .mpg
Fast
Cons
After trying this for some time, it starts to behave strange.
I have always chosen my external harddrive as my target, but suddently the joined file disappears from the folder, instantly.
What I discovered was, that if you saved the file on c: it stayed, but copying the file to e: was impossible, due to insufficient space on e: (eventhough there was 850GB free)
Summary
All in all a usefull piece, untill it behaves strangely - I wouldn't recommend it if you want to save the joined files to your external harddrive.
Works exactly as described
DrPhoton
Pros
I use JoinVOBFiles a lot to create a single VOB from an .iso source. It creates a seamless file that plays back perfectly. I would not expect JoinVOBFiles to do any more than just that. Furthermore, I have not experienced the problems reported here by other users, which leads me to think "operator error."
It's free, "lite," and so easy to use a chimp could run it - what more could you want?
Cons
None.
(Screw Flanders)
Summary
Quick free tool without a bunch of install junk.
BTSware
Pros
Works relatively quickly.
Cons
Does not re-encode your timeline so the location of your movie while playing back is mostly showing the end which keeps you from dragging the bar to find a spot in the movie.
It leaves the movie at 4 GB or so whereas rendering in to a new AVI with a program like DVD fab gets you the same thing for around 1.5 GB.
Summary
It's free and allows you to get what you want now ... what more do you want? :)
Works - but pretty crude
Pros
It works, is fairly fast & doesn't seem to degrade the images.
Cons
Only works in the root folder, can't cope with long path & file names. Needs beating into submission.
Summary
Did what I wanted to do, join 4-6 VOB files
MJD3RD
Pros
Easy to use
Cons
None, that I can tell.
Summary
Does exactly what it says it will do, join VOB files. If you need to join other video files this isn't the program for you.
Works as described
thydzik
Pros
Joins vob files as described.
Cons
Nothing major.
Summary
Does the job.
Hardcoded to fill your hard drive
gbollard
Pros
Great idea if it worked.
Cons
This app assumes that you have a giant sized C: Drive. You can say where you want to save your file (eg: D:) but it will still use C: for working. If it runs out of space, it will harm your computer.
Summary
No good.
Worthless software
borttorb
Pros
Nothing positive
Cons
Does not work. I tried this on two different machines and came to the same conclusion as the others who left low rating comments. My guess is those who posted high ratings have some connection with the developer(s).
