Our products have been under development since 1994. The first release of Inventory Pro for Windows occurred in 1998. CISS initially specialized in custom solutions and then developed enough of a base product to release a generic solution.In a perfect world - the application would work for everyone "out of the box". For those that are not "perfect fits", we customize our generic products to meet your specific requirements. If you have the skills in-house; Inventory Pro for Windows uses the standard Add-In manager supplied with Microsoft Office, and you can create your own customizations to the system. The standard system allows for you to have different workstation "profiles" for different users and rename fields to something more appropriate for your environment. There are also some 'extra' generic fields in the standard product that can be used at your discretion.Inventory Pro database is "open", and available for ad-hoc report generation and queries using tools like Crystal Reports or Microsoft Access.Imports of legacy system data are done through Excel spreadsheets and, if need be, directly from proprietary databases either through direct extracts or reports.

Pros
This is a good program but not for retail. It is warehouse focused so when I needed help, I wrote them on Facebook and got a very quick response. This means a lot to me!
Cons
Not for retail...:( Maybe one day they will consider creating a version for retail stores.
Summary
Although I wasn't able to test the program, a quick reply from support speaks volumes for me.

When I click open it ask me to set up the sql server, I don't know how to do it. So I just deleted it.

Great product! It's a very stable product that tracks everything from POs, inventory levels, custom BoMs, to shipping the product out the door. Inventory Pro also integrates with my accounting software so we have visibility on every aspect. The staff is experienced and friendly. They are willing to work with you on any customizations you would like and offer you best of practice advice along the way.<br /><br /><span class='notifyMsg'> Updated </span>on May 23, 2011<p/>Not sure why the '?' is on the top line but it was an '!" when posted. Easy of use, ties all logistics functions together in one program, data entry is straight forward, easy to train new staff on use, great cutomer service

Summary
This is a great soup to nuts program for a wide range of logistic functions. It is very easy to learn saving time on new employee training and cross training employees on different functions. The customer service is excellent as the company owner is closely involved, not only with the system design, but with the sales and customer service functions as well. It's a great product offered by a great company.
