The publishers description for this download manager is a bit deceiving. It doesn't actually let you watch videos, it only downloads them. But still, it worked well enough for us.
Free YouTube Video Download opens a basic, but functional user interface. You won't find a Help feature with the program, but one isn't needed. Its very easy to navigate. There's a field for the video link, a field for the output folder, which is found using the browse button. The interface also gives you the option of downloading the video from YouTube or using a cache file address. Switching to batch mode allows you to download multiple URLs. When we visited YouTube and copied a video link, it was automatically pasted into the programs video URL field. It saved us the trouble of switching back and forth between screens. We chose our output folder, and put the program to work. Our video was quickly downloaded from YouTube as an FLV file and save to our specified location. The batch feature also let us quickly download multiple video files simultaneously.
This video downloader is easy enough for the most novice user to understand, and its freeware status makes it worth a try.
