Antivirus blocked website and quarantined download
dlscnet
Pros
It's great if you want to infect your computer with viruses and malware!
Cons
Tries to infect your computer with viruses and malware!
Summary
Clicked the link which took me to an external website. Thank goodness for good old Norton Security Suite which quickly whisked me away from the "dangerous" website. It was also kind enough to cancel the download which had started immediately after clicking the link on this page and then quarantined it. Poor show, Cnet!!! I usually rely on your downloads being safer than this. No more following links to external sites.
STAY AWAY !!!!!

It Works With Windows 10
BearPuppy
Pros
I tested the program on Windows 10 Technical Preview, Build 9860 (Nov. 2014) and it worked on the two files I tested it on. A previous user of EMCO's file unlocker (UnLock It v 3), UnLock It does not currently work on Win 10. While programs have not yet had the chance to develop Win 10 compliant programs, it says something positive that FreeFileUnlocker currently works under Windows 10 (Preview or otherwise).
Cons
The single biggest drawback to using this program is the installation routine, which subjects you to numerous "additional software" to download. And I do mean "numerous". This is one program to read carefully and look for the "decline" and "skip this" buttons when installing it.
Summary
While I would normally skip such malware-ridden installation routines, I was desperate enough to get through the maze and actually try the program. While the program itself seems to work just fine, the developers would be well-advised to re-think their method of fund-raising.
