Your monitor flickers, stressing your eyes? The usual resolutions aren't enough? Then this program is probably what you need.

Mac OS X provides only rather few resolutions and often only at refresh rates below 100Hz. With this program you can adjust your Mac to optimally match your monitor. You get up to 30 different resolutions at high refresh rates. Without registration only low to mid size resolutions are supported.

Works with most decent vga monitors and graphic cards (check the web page for details).

With generous email support from the author, i realised my problem (reported earlier) was just pilot error. I am now easily able to output interlaced video formats from my MacMini (Early 2006 model, Intel Core Duo, with the intel GMA 950 graphics chipset). I'd like the user interface to be a wee bit more obvious, but it surely gets the job done! Excellent stuff!

My TV support 1080i and I was waiting for the interlaced support to get full resolution. Version 1.0.7 allow interlaced setup with the required frequencies but when I restart, it does not show the interlaced resolutions ! in the display control panel. I am using ATI Radeon 8500 (64 MB) which is supported. I guess I still have to wait. I am willing to pay again for a working interlaced version or even upgrade my graphic card if 1080i is not possible on my current card.

While this program may do what it says, and does exactly what all of the other suspiciously-similiar glowing reviews claim, it just switches to the new resolution automatically without confirming if it actually works. Apple makes you confirm a resolution change, so if you choose a setting your monitor doesn't support, you can hit "esc" to revert back to your old setting. This program does not, and if your monitor goes blank due to using an out-of-range setting in OS X, you're pretty hosed with no easy way of resetting to a default resolution. I had to do an entire OS reinstall. Not for the faint of heart!

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />Beautiful. My Viewsonic A90f+ was only showing 75 Hz in it's default 1280x1024, but now it shows 79 Hz. (The product description states 80 hz though). But those 4 Hz make a huge difference, and my Hz settings are higher accross the board. Wonderful!

Installed this app and, at last, everything's fine and dandy! In fact it's better than that because I've got a whole new set of resolutions to play with and they stay when I restart. Thanks Harold, a simple, effective app. Just what's needed.

Since it was the only way we found to do this, we happily paid the $12. However, the program will probably be confusing to anyone who is not unusually knowledgable about video and the documentation does not explain all the parameters clearly enough to supplant trial-and-error, with each try requiring a reboot.
