Editors' Review

This free utility provides a basic but capable set of image-editing features. Dimin Viewer lets you view images in common formats, either individually or in folders as thumbnails. You can perform basic editing operations, such as cropping, resizing, and sharpening, as well as converting several images at once from one format to another. You can rename and edit images in batches using scripts. Dimin Viewer scrolls over panoramic images and creates slide shows with simple transition effects. Unfortunately, the program takes up unreasonable amounts of CPU time when playing back a slide show. On the bright side, this version's dramatically improved interface is now orderly and attractive. Quirks aside, Dimin Viewer makes an attractive option among free imaging programs.
