  had to uninstall and reinstall several several times just to make 12 DVDs of my cheerteam. Took me 6 hours and the DVD was only 15 minute long....

  Simple! What more can I say, except that it does everything that I want to be done

  The product is great, but the support just isn't there. I lost the program on my previous computer (thanks to a corrupt Vista OS which is another story!) and had to buy a new computer and I just cannot get these guys to send me a new download.

  Customer Service sucks!! Computer crashed, and they just ignored my request to re-send the link to download. Don't believe their promises of support, you won't get any.

  I "heard" that it copies DVD's well....can't test that part cause....

  Cons

  Program always crashes. I had to download an older version of quicktime to get it to even encode and still won't burn (crashes again). You can't choose a menu screen and good luck with subtitles. No support at all.

  Summary

  This program is crap. Do not buy!! If you only want to make copies of your DVD's you should be good.

  Pros

  Converts .avi files flawlessly to DVD format, and provides the CD burner to boot.

  Cons

  No specifications of exactly which formats it does and does not handle. It DOES NOT convert .mp4 video. I had to download the free Pazera MP4 to AVI app from: http://download.cnet.com/Pazera-Free-MP4-to-AVI-Converter/3000-2194_4-10784027.html

  Summary

  If the .avi opens in any native app as it should, the DVDSanta can handle it. You can choose resolutions, and TV-Monitor aspect ratios: full screen or widescreen. Include .srt subtitle files if you have them, and even shift video and voice timings to sync up voice to video, if your .avi is out of sync.I run XP SP3 with 2 gigs of RAM, and find the conversion to DVD format from .avi is roughly the same time as the running time of the movie itself, which I find quite acceptable. The absence of any tech support whatsoever, as well as the absence of any clear specifications data sheet defining which formats it does and does not handle, make this product especially vulnerable to bashings it truly doesn't deserve. But I cannot excuse, at minimum, the offer of accurate specifications. When all is said and done, I have no heartburn in recommending this product to others.

  There wasn't any sound

  Cons

  it didn't produce any sound. I even tried using the same media as I used in the trial and still no sound. So after I made a few coasters, I tried to send 2 e-mails to both of the tech support accounts listed, both bounced back as un-deliverable.

  Summary

  Do not buy, no tech support.

  I have tried to make dvds from captured steaming vids, the mpg vids played smooth, but when made into a dvd were jumpy, nothing was ever good quality

  Absolutely NO customer service. Don't waste your money on "Lifetime Upgrades". There is no way to get them.
