• Great for wasting DVDs - otherwise worst ever

  Pros

  Neat and pretty interface. This program is great at turning blank DVDs into coasters.

  Cons

  Doesn't work at all. Tried to burn 4 separate movies and each time it failed. At least the last one failed in a new and novel way.

  Simply does not work.

  Pros

  Converter allows flexibility. I tried other products and I did have several issues with burning movie files with supposedly unsupported extensions. Not so with DVD Author Plus 3.

  Cons

  I can't update to the latest version as Malwarebytes Anti-Malwares detects a trojan.downloader malware. I did not have this problem with earlier versions of DVD Author Plus. And I will certainly not risk downloading more malwares into my computer. Deskshare should make sure this problem is remedied ASAP if we are to access updates safely (especially as I paid for DVD Author Plus).

• Does NOT support Dual Layer DVDs

  Pros

  They took my money fast!

  Cons

  Does NOT support Dual Layer and does NOT consistently fill a single layer DVD. I have tried on 4 separate occasions to work with their tech support - they ONLY use email/web entry and it takes weeks for them to respond. They said ver 3.1 would support Dual Layer and it DOES NOT!!! Had to finally ask for my money back, and they are ignoring me. BBB complaint was filed, but BBB website says they are rated F - should have checked there first.

  Summary

  I WOULD AVOID THIS COMPANY!!! They also say free upgrades, but this is misleading. If they change the product to the next revision (i.e. 4.0), they will CHARGE YOU for the upgrade!!! I unfortunately also have their digital media converter and fell into this trap: I had an older version (2.x) that stopped working. When I went to upgrade, I had to pay full price for their 3.0.

  Pros

  Simple DVD burner that works wonderfully.

  Cons

  Does not do menus. My one disappointment. Otherwise flawless.

  Summary

  Version 2.3 works. It's good and I like it. It's really easy to use. I couldn't believe it when CNET told me there was a new version. I thought an update could only do good. Apparently, it's "Free to Try". I don't want to try it. I want the whole thing. That's what you get in 2.3. Be sure to download that version.

• Free DVD authoring that actually works

  Pros

  With numerous uses has never failed to author and burn DVD.Features include;Long play, Short play 4.3 & 6.9 options.Can also burn Iso files and a great added bonus can copy discs.Very easy to use, explorer like interface.

  Cons

  Would have given DVD Author Plus 5/5 but for the fact you can't create menus or chapters.

  Summary

  Very Good DVD Authoring Software for free.

• Quick and easy to use

  Pros

  Easy to use, quickly burned a dvd that I couldn't burn with Windows DVD Maker. Not a lot of features, but gets the job done.

  Cons

  A lot of garbage in the install process. You really need to read every install screen or you'll get a bunch of unwanted add-ons/tool bars...

  Summary

  Add your files, click burn.

  downloaded this and it loaded snap.on.have had a problem with my system ever since i did this.can not even format a disc and snap becomes one of you home pages.when you go to google setting you CAN NOT REMOVE THIS FROM OPENING.also did a virus scan before i went to bed and was at about 5 percent and was at the same when i woke up.all thhese problems started when i try downloading this
