Although it seems to do what it's supposed to do, I really would like to see a more user friendly GUI. Similar to a Techtool GUI. It's hard for me to really understand what it's doing.
Oh and another thing...

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I have used *censored*tail since it was first introduced, and have been very pleased with its capabiity and performance.
However, this is the first version tha I have had any difficulty with. After running 4.3.2 and restarting my PowerBook 17 inch, all I got was a a loud "beep" and a gray screen. I turned off the PowerBook and restarted several times with the same result, but after the third try my Mac rebooted, but it took much longer than usual. I was prepared to use by backup copy of my hard drive to reinstall my drive to the level of my last backup - one week old.
I am not sure what happened, but provide this feedback just in case this is a problem that affects others.
A word of advice, make sure you have a back-up of your hard drive before installing *censored*tail or similar programs.

It is a good tool for your system.
The interface is looking good. The myriad of options give the user total freedom to modify the system settings.
The only point that bother me is the price.
Does a good job

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I have no idea how one could possibly be disappointed by this gem. I've used this util now since Panther, and it has never let me down. And no, Onyx et al doesn't come close. Basically, to keep your new machine happy (maintenance, that is) get *censored*tail and DiskWarrior - there's no need for anything else.
The only thing I could actually rant about would be the lack of documentation. Even though most of the things one might want to adjust etc. are straight-forward, I would love to see the Network Optimization menu explained.
cheers

...attempts
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I've been using this program for years. The latest version (4.1) hangs at "Clearing system caches" when used in the scheduled Pilot mode. I've tried reinstalling, trashing pref's, etc. I've sent three messages to their support over three weeks and haven't gotten a single response. Very disappointed. I'll be looking into other, similar programs.
