Play chess against a computer opponent with a human-like playing style in a smooth user interface.Chess 2022 is an easy-to-use yet powerful Windows app for anyone who plays chess. It offers challenge levels from complete beginner up to elite. You can turn on sounds and choose from several visual styles to customize the game experience. The app is so intuitive that it provides a starting point even for those who have never played chess before. Just start a new game and learn as you go. Click or tap a piece to have possible moves highlighted. Undo your move if you make a mistake. Watch the continuous position evaluation in the lower right corner; invoke the Coach menu to get a hint. Chess 2022 can also serve as a PGN and FEN file viewer, virtual chessboard with a clock, position analyzer, graphic interface on top of UCI engines, chessboard editor, and more.

Excellent. Windows showing likely lines of play .

Pros
After 1 year of chess 2020, I keep advancing in difficulty. Features of showing opponents possible moves improves play. Also likely lines of play in window was helpful. It's challenging to win at higher levels of play.
Cons
For price, I cant think of any. Is my second review, and just wanted to share how good this program is compared to another I used. I will keep purchasing updates from Fillip.

Keep looking, there has got to be a better option. The chess game that came for free with my old computer was more enjoyable than this one.
Good looking, and smooth; a little lacking in features.

Nice looking, easy to use interface. Great for an occasional game without any fussy setting up.
Cons
Lacking in advanced features. They're probably there in the Pro version, but with the freeware alternatives available why bother?

Pros
Very pleasant graphics, intuitive gameplay, I also recommend this game to kids who want to learn chess. I did upgrade to the pro version, the upgrade process was easy and secure. You get a great value for less money.
Cons
Unfortunately the game language is anly in English and Czech language, I also would like to recommend this game to friends in Germany :-(
