Despite a somewhat counterintuitive design, this program makes a capable CD burner. When we first launched Cheetah CD Burner, we were surprised to find the pane for exploring our PC on the right and the contents of the new CD on the left. We're used to seeing such programs arranged the other way around.

The application can burn data and audio CDs at speeds of up to 40x, and we appreciate having the option to add files to a project by simply right-clicking them. You also can make a boot disc or copy an entire CD. Clicking the Settings tab lets you finalize your disc and use buffer control. The CD ripper encodes files in both MP3 and WAV formats and can access an online database for track and album information. The program also has tools for extracting audio from AVI video clips and converting audio files among such popular formats as MP3, WMA, and OGG.

The Cheetah Web site currently has a deal offering the app for free, if you post a link back to their Web site. All things considered, we think Cheetah CD Burner makes a fine choice.

Can't install it. Can't get a refund. Can't get a response. Other than that, pretty good
Summary
I bought it but when I tried to install, the reg key# I got did not work. Tried to look up my reg key, but that page was broken. Clicked the "Contact Us" link in the email and THAT page was broken. And my first email to them bounced. I'm not feeling good about this.

It installed Wajam, Conduit, and tried to reinstall through my browsers, Chrome and Firefox, after I got rid of all of it.

Pros
The Cheetah CD Burner has been around for along time, and it is hard to believe how useful it still is. I know the CD may be fading but you just can't compare the price to data ratio for backing up data. It's quick simple and to the point plus I still have an audio cd player in my car.

After I installed this program on an XP machine that had no problems, it said I had to restart the computer. On restart, my keyboard was locked. After a cold restart, I got a Microsoft stop error, and the only thing I could do was uninstall this program, which I did. Thank G-d my mouse still worked. After that, my computer behaved normally after another cold restart.

Working on a boot disk. It keeps giving me an error message - Please wait ... the disk is not loaded yet or there is no disk in the drive.

This is the very same disk I burned yesterday with Img Burn, but it gave me several errors, then didn't count the errors. So I tried cheetah. It won't even get started! I can select the options and select the files to burn, but that's it. When I click the burn button, it gives me an error message every time. And I'm using a read write disk, which worked the first time with an old version of Nero.
