Every time I would use BearShare my computer would crash. I couldn't get through an entire download to listen to it and it would quit responding. It has some major bug issues that need worked out asap!!
Summary
I would def. use BearShare again if they would fix the problems with the program causing my computer to freeze and become nonresponsive. I hated having to uninstall it because Ii found a lot of artists that I really love but I don't have the time to close the program and restart it every minute or two.

Bearshare is totally 100% spyware and virus free and is, and always was, safe to use.
When BearShare installs onto your PC you are offered two basic installs, a typical installation, which lists the add-on features such as the Search-Results Toolbar, and a Custom installation, which allows you to select the add-ons that you wish to install or not install.
This isn't a virus, nor a malware. We are, and always have been safe to use.
