  Pros

  This program provides most of what Astrology dilettantes need to do their thing. Excellent intuitive user interface, feature packed, and varied views of maps, transits and aspects. Astrology for Windows allows you to do native charts, transits, solar revolutions and compatibility charts. The developer is very proactive in fixing bugs. I reported problems with printing and converting to pdf, which were promptly addressed.

  Cons

  This is a mature program, so the bugs are pretty minor. Rest assured that if you report any problem, the developer will take care of it right away.

  Summary

  I've used Astrology for Windows for many years, and believe it's a perfect combination of simplicity, features, and great value. I highly recommend it.

• Clear, Compact, & Concise...

  Pros

  the graphics of the chart are extremely clear and large enough to see easily....colorful without being gaudy. The ability to view the aspects in list form , Then to see the aspects as a graphic illustration in the center of the chart....which can be displayed as both a combination of the harmonious & disharmonious major/minor aspects, or separately in each category , all from an easy to use slider bar right on the front of the chart page... There is the capacity to copy the data about each chart and paste it into whatever word processing program you have, to save in a file or to print it out.... There is a transit section which is quite comprehensive again very easy to use, and there is a large index and help section The report section has concise , interpretations of the chart components in both the Natal & Transit mode..

  Cons

  There are not many cons for this program, and should any glitches show up, John is quick to fix them.. as he did with the Atlas problem... Good things really do come in small packages...

  Summary

  Overall this is a program that a beginner and those a bit more experienced in Astrology could use readily before advancing to the even larger report writer program, another of John's Gems....

  Not many, small issue, when entering birth month, and press enter it defaults to the atlas instead of the birth year.

  Pros

  Easy to use and understand, a great place to start for learning to read astrology charts for yourself. I use the base program and it works for everything I need. I have several friends who have the report writer, and they have many positive things to say. The Chart is clear, prints well, looks good. Switch between the wheel, to the transits in one click. Simple, no-nonsense no endless drop down. On the technical side: DAMN stable windows program. I mean seriously no memory bleed, no kernel crashes even in 64-bit mode. I have been using Halloran Astrology since..dear gods, Windows 3.1!!!

  Cons

  Requires the basic understanding of map reading to enter your location if you happen by strange circumstance not live in one of the preset map locations..if you do, then google lat and long for your current location.

  Astrology for Windows offers everything most people need to prepare astrology charts, packaged in a clean and easy to use interface. - Comprehensive features - Birth Charts, solar revolutions, synastries, etc., with a variety of diffrent screen views and printing options. Recently the developer added interpretation reports. - Easy to use - Developer is very responsive to feedback

  I have been using the Astrology For Windows Program for the past thirteen (13) years. It is truly an outstanding program. I give credit to it's developer for it's accuracy and precise calculations and functions.It is indeed very easy to use and even the novice or beginner will be comfortable using it. It carries outstanding features and an extensive report.

  Cons

  I cannot think of anything adverse but am certain one will enjoy using the program.

  Very comprehensive and clearly set up program. Great graphics and easy to navigate...interpretations in reports are excellent.One of the features that I have found to be of great use is the sdjustable method for viewing the strength of aspects, either all or only the harmonious/inharmonious type...gives a better idea of which aspects are stronger/weaker... have not found anything similar in other programs... The Chart illustration is super clear and easily view'd..not cluttered by a lot of unnecessary frills..has many other useful features that help to navigate the process of chart investigation... Has a superb Atlas, that covers just about any place you might want..right down to the smallest village in the back of beyond.. only a few of the many great components in this program.. Way to go John....

  Nothing that I have found to be of any consquence, other than it leads to a lot more time spent using the program....:)) and wanting to go back for more !!

  In general this is a program that even a beginner can use with relative ease and will provide many hours of enjoyable exploration of the astrological field. The developer of the program is extremely knowledgeable in the fields of both Astrology & all things Technical..and is available to help if need be...
